With the month of May mainly known for Mother’s Day, I’ve decided to make this post about celebrating women everywhere! I think of one of the highlights of my career, especially as a media personality, was being asked to host and moderate the inaugural Leadership Conference for Women of Impact Organization, currently known as Women of Impact Academy. This was a powerful conference that provided women of all walks of life the tools and resources necessary to success and support one another. Anyone who knows me knows that I live my life dedicated to uplifting others, especially women and youth…and I will keep doing so for as long as I live!
WIO is a leadership academy dedicated to women with the goal of
equipping, developing and building their capacity with the tools they need to impact their
environment. We want to offer young women from different backgrounds the opportunity to
become pioneers of change in their communities and in all areas of society. Our organization is
committed to influencing one life at a time, especially young women, ensuring lasting dignity for
all. I had the opportunity to also serve as VP of Communications and Marketing for this wonderful organization that helps women from Africa to North America…reaching more of the globe each day!
This leadership conference included a panel of successful women including London’s first black female Councillor Arielle Kayabaga, who is currently Member of Parliament – London West; Margaret Hancock, Executive Director of Family Service Toronto, and Avril Riley, Author and International Leadership Business Coach/Strategist. Here’s a recap of the event! Enjoy, and continue to support one another!
